I live in Pendleton, South Carolina. I am Student advisor for the Coop program at Clemson University. I’m the liaison between our company partners and several majors within engineering, including chemical, civil, environmental, and biosystems engineering; and trying to place them in coop assignment with different industries typically southeast area. I schedule advising meetings with these students and prepare them for the interview process, help and guide them with their company research, they’re basically, for many of them, this is their first time going through a formal interview process, their first time creating a resume, and so for a lot of them is about helping them work through their anxiety, and build their confidence levels, so that when companies arrive, they feel very secure about talking about how they can contribute to the company. Typically, this is where they give you interview tips, explain about proper attire, showcasing their confidence, that sort of thing.
